Somewhat rural, and lightly populated, Newington is the perfect peaceful country environment,yet close to Dover and Portsmouth. Amidst this selected tranquility, yet totally removed, are the Pease Industrial Tradeport and the numerous popular malls that serve the Seacoast. Newington has it's own elementary school, while junior high and high school students attend the Portsmouth system. It is hard to find property in Newington, given the location of this farming town and the low tax rate.
